Typical racing situation when several gokarts are coming together to a heavy-breaking corner. In this kind of situation there is a big chance of collisions that might be considered as racing incident. But not if a collision is severe and has some consequences. In this case collision itself was severe and also involved 3rd party’s gokart.

When after a severe incident participant continues breaking the rules (especially with causing collisions), his actions are considered as aggressive driving and disrespecting other participants as well as track property. GoKart PRIX championship Organizers don’t tolerant this type of behavior and disqualify this participant.

Fact: Incident between gokarts: 41 and 39. Causing collision.

Pushing out of the track or cutting someone’s line while overtaking is not yet finished is another common rule breaking. We treat these type of actions equally, because we believe they represent disrespect and might be dangerous. Cutting the line with pushing might lead to spinning and crashes. Therefore it is always important to make sure that you are clear with overtaking before changing the line.

Decision: According to rule 1.9.2.4 Issue an official WARNING to driver Mariusz Rozanski.

Incident 9 – #40 Anatoly Hramov vs #44 Martin Krus

No/Driver:

Session: Final A

Fact: Side by side finish.

Decision: No changes in race protocol for places 3 and 4.

Video of two drivers #40 and #44 crossing the line simultaneously as well as photo-finish show that #44 was a few centimeters earlier than #40 at the start-finish line, but at the same time official timing shows that #40 crossed the line first. In order to clear this situation we asked track owners to comment on that. They have confirmed that the line that measures time is located around 30 cm away from the visible start-finish line. And official timing has tracked #40 being 0,03 of a second earlier at measuring line than #44. By this Organizers have made a decision to keep results regarding positions 3 and 4 as they were directly after the race.
