Only 1 week left until we’re back on the track with a Birthday Race weekend! 5 of 10 races passed and it’s time to remind you what happened in our Midsummer Race in June. Giorgio surprisingly got his first TQ leaving Berke behind. 3rd fastest was Michaёl followed by Igor.
There were some nice battles and overtakes in the Semi-Final where Mattias and Niclas gained some positions while Igor and Sandra lost some. Mattias was driving like a bullet and won the heat with the start from the 7th.
In the Final Mattias broke away from pole with Giorgio following him. Igor started from P7 on the same kart as Mattias had in the Semi-Final. The kart was fast, but the other drivers didn’t give him easy overtakes and were slowing him down by performing a very good defence. This helped Mattias maintain the gap behind himself. A highlight of the race was the Niclas vs Berke battle. Both were aggressive, but fair. Niclas finished before Berke on the 5th. Michaёl has a chance for his first podium, but Igor was just faster in this session. However, Michaёl ended the race on P4 achieving his best result so far. Giorgio was showing his best not to let Igor through, but was unsuccessful. But he got his first podium finish on P3 and also slowed down Igor helping Mattias win the race.
After half a season Mattias jumped up to the top of the leaderboard. Igor also moved one position up. Both kicked Berke to P3. However, Berke still leads the “-3 races” table. Niclas is on P4 in both lists. Gorgio moved up to P9 and P6 accordingly. Race documentation is stored here.
