2024 Kista GoKart PRIX @ O’Learys Kista Event Center on 01.12.2024

2024 GoKart PRIX was the 11th season of rental gokart championship organized in Sweden by a private initiative. It started on 4th of February in Järfälla and finished on the 1st of December in Kista. There was no Winter Cup race this year, but the season’s new track was 08 Gokart Hall, an indoor facility in Järfälla, right next to the outdoor track. In a way it replaced Gokart Stockholm that was shut down in 2023.

The series visited new venue twise using it’s both directions for GoKart PRIX races. Enköping returned to the calendar, but the second double-race was day no longer on the list, removing Gelleråsen and Gokart by JumpYard. Hälla Ring was dropped as well moving The Midsummer Race to Ös-We Ring. Another track that hosted 2 races this year was Caroli Cart Center Nyköping.

There were 3 new stage winners – Berke Zorlu as well as Norton and Johan Andreassons. In total there were 9 different winners this year. Tommie Lundren became the new owner of the Challenge CUP and Mattias Norling won his 3rd Birthday Race.

GoKart PRIX continued cooperation with another Swedish rental gokart series – Gokart Cup, and had 2 joint races in Järfälla and Norrtälje.

Igor Scavlev for the half of the season was leading the standings, but during the 2nd part of the year he not only lost this spot, but even moved down to 3rd. Mattias, on the other hand, was very consistent during the middle part of the season winning 4 races. With his first win Berke started his amazing run of 8 podiums in the row, but couldn’t reach Mattias in the end. So, Mattias became the 2-time GoKart PRIX champion 1 race before the final event. Berke took the vice-champion title with Igor being 3rd.

34 participants from 6 countries took part in GoKart PRIX 2024 season. There were 13 stages where only 9 best results were taking into account. A Champion collected 260 championship points and 338 total points which a new record.
