2017 Kista GoKart PRIX @ O’Learys Kista Event Center on 25.11.2017

2017 GoKart PRIX was the 4th season of rental gokart championship organized in Sweden by a private initiative. It started on 25th of March and finished on the 25th of November. Before Stage 1 the series organized it’s 3rd Challenge CUP event that took place at O’Learys Kista Event Center for the 2nd time in a row. Martin Brzezinka became the CUP’s new owner beating Emil Östman total by only 0,02 seconds which is a record.

2 new tracks appeared on the calendar – Mattias Andersson GP Go-karthallen and Borlänge Motorstadion. They replaced 2 tracks in Norrköping that left the calendar due to different reasons. The Birthday Race has been moved from Enköping to Linköping. Anatoly Hramov won that event for the 2nd time.

Anatoly won 2 more races this season, but this achievement didn’t let him finish the season higher than 3rd position. Martin Brzezinka had only 2 victories, but more podiums than the Latvian, and became the vice-champion. His biggest rival was Emil Östman who finished on podium 9 of 10 races he participated in. This helped him collect the most amount points during the season and become the new GoKart PRIX Champion.

29 racers from 7 countries participated in 2017 GoKart PRIX season. There were 11 stages on 11 different tracks with 1 stand alone event – the Challenge CUP. 3 races used weight balance.
