2021 GoKart PRIX was 8th season of rental gokart championship organized in Sweden by a private initiative. It started later than usual – on 22nd of May. Despite that organizers were eager to do a complete season of 12 races, therefore the gap between races very often was only 2 weeks. It was for the first time when Challenge CUP didn’t take place during the off-season. It was held in July after Stage 3 and was won by Mattias Norling who also clinched his first victory in the championship that year. Another first-time winners were Igor Kukin and Slawomir Wachowski. After 1 year of performing without a website the series finally introduced new and improved version of it’s spot in world wide web.
Järfälla Kartbana was back in calendar after 1 year of absence. A new racing format was introduced there – with 3 qualification heat-races and one final race. At Östergötland GoKart PRIX that was held at Mattias Andersson GP Go-karthallen organizers tried a modificated variant of QQR setup where Q2 was driven in the opposite direction. It was possible only with indoor configuration. Midsummer Race moved from Uppsala to Västerås.
Series came back to Gokart För Alla track in Norrtälje for the first time since 2015. Uppsala Gokart PRIX at Rörken Ring had a glitch in timing system and due to this there were more laps driven in Final race and the finish positions could only be determined by a video footage. New venue for the series was indoor track Caroli Kart Center Nyköping which is located in the city of Nyköping.
27 drivers from 7 countries participated in 2021. 10 races out of 12 throughout the season were calculated into the final standings. Andreas Lamnerius won 5 of them including Birthday Race and became GoKart PRIX champion for the 3rd time! Mattias Norling became 2nd and Igor Scavlev was 3rd by the end of the season.
