2023 GoKart PRIX was the 10th season of rental gokart championship organized in Sweden by a private initiative. It started on 4th of February with the II Winter Cup and finished on the 3rd of December in Kista. A Winter Cup race, like a previous year, took place at Järfälla Kartbana. Mika Nurkkala won this event becoming a new winner of GoKart PRIX Championship. Surprisingly that the next 3 races also had 3 new victors – Christer Ekman, Kevin and Daniel Fredrikssons. In total there were 7 new winners during this season making it a record breaking year in the most number of new gold medal takers and a total amount of winners during one season – 10. Tommie Lundgren, Robin Norling and Kristoffer Hasslevall have also their first victories in the pockets.
The series continues introducing new track every season. This time it was Gelleråsen Arena in Karlskoga that replaced Örebro Kartingring. This track is located next to larger racing track homologated for STCC races. Gävle Motorstadion Rörberg and Valla Raceway returned to the calendar taking place of Rörken Ring and Enköpings Kartingbana. After 4 events in Uppsala the Challenge CUP moved to Nyköping and it was dominated by Berke Zorlu.
Remembering the experience organizing shared events with Sodi W Series in 2020, GoKart PRIX for one event joined forces with a young Swedish rental gokart series Gokart Cup that took place in Västerås. This partnership received positive feedbacks and both series plan to extend organizing joint races in 2024.
Mattias Norling took home his second Birthday mug and also won 4 races in a row. He collected enough championship points to claim a Champion title already 2 races before the end of the season. Igor Scavlev and Kristoffer Hasslevall were fighting each other until the last corner of the last race for the vice-champion position. In the end it was the Swede who became a runner-up leaving Igor a 3rd place.
A record breaking 49 participants from 11 countries took part in GoKart PRIX 2023 season. There were 13 stages where only 10 best results were taking into account. A new Champion collected 272 championship points and 324 total points which both are a new record.
